No matter where your life began… Your age, your language, or skin color; who you love, or how you express your identity; when or if you worship; what you do, or do not possess…

Your life, your family, and your home is worthy of celebrating and protecting.

At Family Lifeline, the most important voice is YOUR own.

Our direct service staff has been honored to walk alongside hundreds of at-risk families in Knoxville, and the East Tennessee area as they carefully reconstructed a foundation of security within themselves, in their homes, and in their relationships. Our team prioritizes the safety of every family we serve, while honoring and respecting the individual voices of each of our clients.

Abuse disrupts every part of our lives. The symptoms do not simply “go away” with time, and most aggressors can’t just “Choose to stop” on their own.

For this reason, our approach to recovery is holistic. There are always difficult choices to be made, and while Family Lifeline will not pressure anyone to take specific actions, nor withhold services, we do want to help every family member to make educated decisions about how and when they should consider-

  • Pursuing Orders of Protection

  • Seeking Legal Representation

  • Notifying Law Enforcement

  • Communicating with Child Services Agencies

  • Working with Housing Management and Authorities

  • Discussing Abuse with Friends, Family and Faith Leaders

  • Talking to Employers

  • Seeking Other Advocacy Services

  • Finding the Right Therapist / Modality

  • Getting Medical Attention
